Clinical-grade dry eye diagnostics and management for patients across Hillingdon and the surrounding areas. Delivered by dedicated professionals with specialist training in dry eye management, registered with the College of Optometrists.
Dry eye is frequently under-diagnosed and under-managed. Many patients have been using drops for months or years without understanding what is actually causing their symptoms. Our clinic uses clinical-grade diagnostic technology — the kind not available in a standard optometry appointment — to build a clear picture of your tear film and meibomian gland health.
Every management plan we recommend is based on your specific clinical findings. This is a dedicated specialist service delivered by professionals with focused training in dry eye management — not a standard optometry appointment with drops added on.
Every service is delivered by specialist optometrists registered with the College of Optometrists, using clinical-grade equipment. Following assessment, in-clinic treatments including ZEST and NuLids are available where clinically appropriate.
Non-invasive assessment of your tear film using specialist diagnostic technology. We measure tear quality, stability and evaporation rate to establish a clear clinical picture of your dry eye presentation.
Infrared imaging of the meibomian glands in your eyelids — the glands responsible for producing the essential oil layer of your tear film. Meibomian gland dysfunction is one of the most common causes of evaporative dry eye.
Zocular Eyelid System Treatment — a professional in-clinic lid margin cleaning procedure using okra-based gel to remove biofilm and debris at the lid margin. Suitable for blepharitis and MGD. Results vary between patients.
Following a thorough diagnostic assessment, we offer two specialist in-clinic treatments for patients with meibomian gland dysfunction, blepharitis and evaporative dry eye. Both treatments are performed by our specialist team and are available following a full dry eye assessment.
ZEST is a professional in-clinic lid margin cleaning procedure using a gel derived from okra — a natural plant extract with anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. The treatment targets the biofilm, bacterial debris and Demodex mite deposits that accumulate at the lid margin and contribute to chronic blepharitis and MGD.
NuLids is a clinically proven in-clinic treatment using a handheld micro-vibration device to gently debride and stimulate the eyelid margins and meibomian glands. The soft oscillating tip removes accumulated debris and biofilm while mechanically stimulating the meibomian glands to improve oil flow — a key factor in evaporative dry eye management.
If your eyes are persistently dry, gritty, sore or uncomfortable — particularly if drops are providing little relief — a specialist assessment can establish exactly what is happening and why. An assessment fee applies.
